This Orientation & Shelter Tour class will provide you with information on what we do, where we rescue our animals from, and ways in which you can help AAWL. We ask that volunteers be at least 18 years old and be willing to commit to eight hours a month for six consecutive months of volunteering.
Please make sure you complete the Online Volunteer Application and register for this class prior to attending Orientation & Shelter Tour.
While there is no fee to become a volunteer, there is a $10-12 fee for the volunteer shirt and a $5 donation fee for volunteer insurance that you will be asked to purchase during orientation. Please come prepared.
Orientation will be held upstairs in the Sonia Breslow Adoption Center, located at 25 N. 40th Street. Parking is available on 40th St. in front of the Sonia Breslow Adoption Center.**
**ADDITIONAL parking is also available on 40th Place, just east of 40th Street. You must enter from Washington on 40th Place heading West from 44th Street due to the light rail.
NOTE: **Please arrive 15 minutes early so we can check you in.
Attendees who arrive after 9:20 am will not be able to attend the class.
